I won a "Silver Medal!"

Well,it has been a long time since I posted here. I have been dealing with a busy work schedule and some crummy health issues. Today, I had my first-ever cortisone shot. I should be in bed right now...but I have slept so much during the day I cannot sleep now! So this will be relatively quick...need to lie down instead of putting weight on my hip.

So, several weeks ago, I took part in splitcoaststampers Virtual Stamp Night. Lots of challenges were posted, and I had a lot of fun making a BIG mess in my stamp room! The theme was the Olympics; some challenges went with the theme in more literal ways than others. One challenge called for "triple inspiration"...knowing that athletes look to some special people who inspire them. We were asked to think of someone who inspires us; the triple part was to use 3 kinds of ribbon. Turns out, my card was chosen as the "Silver Medal" for that challenge! WooHoo!

I created this card, thinking of a wonderful couple at church. The branches make me think of there outstretched arms as they come up to give me big hugs! They give me rides, and they volunteer at the ministry a lot. So this card is for them...Hi Bill & Claire!!
