Time to TRASH Cancer!

Hello everyone!
I am back from an AMAZING weekend in Minnesota!  I was blessed to speak at a church on Saturday and a banquet for a pregnancy center ministry on Sunday.  I made today's card before I left...I think you will enjoy today's HYCCT challenge!

Jacqueline gave us a challenge to TRASH cancer...meaning that we incorporate items that start with the letters TRASH in our card.  Here is what I came up with:
T:  Twizzle Tree stamp (from Memory Box)
R:  Ribbon (duh!)
A:  Apricot appeal ink and card stock
S:  Sage Shadow ink and card stock, plus colors added with Sponge daubers
H:  Hexagon punched out pieces

Lots of fun!  A few added details...in addition to apricot and sage, I used lost lagoon ink.  My ribbon is basic black taffeta (though it looks gray).  The greeting is from "You're a Gem," which meant I needed to add rhinestones!  The dsp is long-retired Nouveau Chic from SU.

I hope you are playing along...lots of time to join in on the fun!

  1. Be still my heart! Two of my very favorite SU colors ever! And you combined them for a beautiful outcome. I love this card. I'd say you went from "trash" to treasure! Love your cards...all of 'em!

  4. Wonderful card- and I think I have a tree like this- love the dotted color behind the whimsical twigs. Great card. Sounds like your weekend talk was wonderful.
