Dare to Add Shimmer!

Happy Wednesday! Time for another Color Dare!
Today we are using Blushing Bride, Elegant Eggplant, Pear Pizazz, and Sahara Sand...love it!!
I had some different ideas, but frankly have no idea how I ended up with this card! LOL! I wanted something quick and simple. Well, this was fairly simple, but definitely not quick!
My sahara sand is the card base; barely noticeable. I added a layer of blushig bride pattern paper from the Hostess stack. That was the quick part! Next, I embossed my elegant eggplant with the elegant bouquet folder. I wanted the flowers to show up more. So, I pulled out my frost white shimmer paint, and added color with my ink refills! Fun! I colored over the flowers with my blender pen because it was in reach! LOL! I did clean it up right away! It took a long time to dry...next time, I'll let it sit longer. The stamped image is from my neglected Oval All set, stamped in eggplant and colored with markers. I punched it out with the scallop oval punch, and placed it over my pear pizazz twill ribbon.
This is a terrific color challenge, so I really hope you play along! Check it out at http://colordare.blogspot.com and use keyword CD105 in your online gallery.
