Now, as a Design Team member, I receive these challenges in advance. I told my husband that I had to make a card with "purple and yellow and a neutral." I didn't go into detail...he doesn't know the difference! Well, it was the Saturday before Mother's Day, and I had lots of retired card stock out for a play day at my house. The next morning I heard funny noises. Turns out, my husband was making a Mother's Day card for me! Here is what he came up with:

How sweet is that? I was so impressed that I told him, "I am going to CASE you!" I absolutely LOVE his flower made from hearts, so I took that inspiration and this week's colors and created this card.

I think this flower idea is fantastic...and I will use it again, I'm sure!
Can't wait to see what YOU create for Color Dare #102...be sure to use keyword CD102.

What an awesome DH you have! He did GREAT on your Mother's Day card...and your card this week ROCKS too! Love those hearts! WTG!
ReplyDeleteOh, wow! The card he made is adorable and especially because he used the colors you were lamenting over! How sweet it that?!
ReplyDeleteAnd your card is sweet, too. Love the flower of hearts!
I think you have some serious competition from your hubby! LOL! Both these cards rock and using the hearts for the flowers is an awesome idea. :)
ReplyDeleteLove that your hubby makes you a card. Mine will sometimes too but most times he will just go get one out of my completed cards box to give to me! Ha ha! Love your card and his...good work!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet of your hubby. He did a fabulous job, I love both cards. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove to see the dh hoping in like that, I love it when mine does it.
ReplyDeleteWow, he must be paying attention and pretends, his card is wonderful and so creative. Love your card with the embossing. These cards are so so sweet at so many levels.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet (and crafty) husband!! I love that you took his inspiration to make your own card! I really like how you rounded the bottom corners...gives it that final soft touch!
