I realize we are a full week into 2015, but I am finally getting my hands inky! First, I have a CAS card for 2 blog challenges, just to get warmed up.

I wanted a quick card to send to my mom. She lives in South Carolina, but grew up in the north (NY & IL), so she misses the snow...a little bit.
Not much to this card...just a perfect plum card base topped by whisper white and a strip of metallic silver card stock. I rounded all of the corners. Both of those top layers are dry embossed with the Northern Flurries embossing folder. I sponged the snowflakes with perfect plum ink. The greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, highlighted by the modern label and scallop oval punches. That pattern paper is from YEARS ago! I added silver ribbon and some rhinestones for more shimmer.
Thanks for stopping by!

Such a pretty card, Kim. I'm sure your mom will appreciate it! :) I definitely think of purple and blue when I think of snow too even though it's white! Thanks for playing with us at the Friday Mashup.

Such a pretty, pretty snowflake design, Kim! Living on the Texas Gulf Coast, this is the only type of snow I get to see so I can feel for your mom! The last time it snowed here was Christmas Eve,2004.
ReplyDeletelove the dry embossing and your layout - thanks for joining us at Colour Me...!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful snowflake! Wonderful card. Love it!
ReplyDeleteKnow this was for your mom, but my first thought was "what a great masculine card"!
